This Easter, will you join us in equipping men and women across the world to proclaim the gospel, to pastor their communities and teach the Bible faithfully?
Anglican Aid’s Overseas Ministry Fund was established in 2001 to support theological training where it is desperately needed. In the last 17 years, over a thousand men and women have been trained and now serve the church as pastors and evangelists in many parts of the developing world. The majority of these servants of Christ would not have received their training without the generous support of people like you.
In many communities where these pastors serve, literacy rates are low and people often finish formal education at the end of primary school. Pastors are called on to do so much more than preach on Sundays and run mid-week Bible study groups. They lead their churches and communities in situations of material need, threats of violence and political instability. For all these reasons, it is so important that pastors are taught to handle the Bible faithfully.
With your support, Bible colleges will be able to provide bursaries for students in need, in places such as Nigeria, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Funds will also be used for special Bible training events in places such as Central America, Myanmar and Nepal.
