Partner with us this Easter to fund the education of Christian leaders in the Middle East, Africa, Arab world, and beyond!

“Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Matthew 28:16-19 (NIV)

It was not long after the first Easter when the resurrected Christ appeared to the Disciples, giving them the command to “…go and make disciples of all nations…” Matthew 28:19 (NIV).

With the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, Jesus calls us to evangelise, teach the gospel, and make disciples of people to the ends of the earth. He wants us to build and multiply disciples in all nations so that they can, in turn, reach their nations with the Good News and train other disciples to do the same, generation-after-generation.

At present, there’s a desperate need for well-trained and equipped Christian leaders in Egypt and surrounding countries in the Middle East, Africa and Arab world.

The region has been in a period of turmoil and radical change as governments lose their grip on power. However, there is a new openness and a new opportunity for Christians to engage in national life in fresh ways. The mission field is ripe for a response to the Great Commission!

Will you help us respond to this opportunity this Easter?

Anglican Aid’s Overseas Ministry Fund provides financial support for special Bible training events in places such as Central America, Myanmar and Nepal. It also offers funding to Bible Colleges in places such as Nigeria, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Egypt. Each year, five Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies students at the Alexandria School of Theology, Egypt (AST) are recipients of Anglican Aid Bursaries.

Together we can support more students to receive quality theological education and training - equipping them to make disciples, who in turn will go out to reach more people, in more nations, therefore multiplying disciples for Christ!

AST delivers high quality theological education, combining academic study with personal reflection and application. The program includes:

  • Evangelism
  • Mission
  • Church Ministry
  • Practical Discipleship
  • Islamic studies and Apologetics
  • Peace-making
  • Theology of Suffering
  • Christian Ethics

Subjects are taught in Arabic and English (so graduates can be sent out to the Arabic-speaking). The college produces well prepared Christian leaders, ready to serve Christ and his church in the context of the Middle East, Arab and African mission fields.

Can you support more students like George?

Please partner with us this Easter to fund the education of Christian leaders in the Middle East, Africa, Arab world, and beyond!
