Anglican Aid is supporting the theological training of Alexandria School of Theology (AST) lecturer George Bishai (pictured in the red shirt with fellow Masters students at AST) from Egypt to study his PhD in New Testament at Moore Theological College in Sydney. Moore College has a strong ongoing relationship with the AST in Egypt and has been supporting theological education in Egypt by assisting in training Masters students from AST and also by sending faculty to AST to run intensive courses. By supporting further theological training Moore College with support from Anglican Aid is fulfilling the need to have AST lecturers trained to PhD level. George’s studies will enable him to provide greater depth of insight and quality teaching for students at AST, better equipping them for ministry in the Middle East.
