See Grace Abound this End of Financial Year

Grace Abounding Appeal

This education program helps to improve the lives of young girls, their families, and the society around them. The project includes health camps, teaching handicraft, and giving them a healthy lunch. Older girls are also able to share their knowledge with younger girls under the supervision of adults.

Each school can serve 40 girls and endeavours to help new children who join from the slums wherever possible.

Enabling girls to have an education allows them to break free from the cycle of poverty. It also fights against the cultural understanding in Bangladesh that boys are better than girls. It gives the opportunity for young girls to show they can do many things just as well or better than boys, challenging societal preconceptions.

The current and pressing needs of the program include:

  • Cloth and scissors for learning tailoring – $50
  • Medicine for girls living in the slum that have become sick – $200
  • Purchasing sewing machines for each of the three schools – $1,000

Please pray for the work of this project and consider supporting the work of Anglican Aid in valuing girls and their education.
