Some specific programs within this project focus on adult education and skills building (literacy, sewing, fishing, carpentry, computer skills) to encourage income generation activities.
With a more sustainable income, food security improves and children are freed up for school education. With increased confidence, community members are more likely to apply and make use of government grants and NGO programs that will fund income generation and education.
In each area, the local church plays an important role in volunteering and providing safe activities and clubs for children and families. The church is an essential part of establishing warm relationships between children and families, leading to better outcomes in health and welfare.
