Give Now

Continuing the excellent community contact made via the church’s Lawn Care ‘n’ Prayer program, which Anglican Aid has helped to support since 2017, Community Builders brings together an array of services meeting key needs:

  • Financial Hardship – Emergency food packages for people in need.
  • Isolated Living – Friendship group, Cards Night and Cuppa N Chat.
  • Material poverty – Helping through food packages and providing free Lawn Care.
  • Social Mobility/ Limited Friendships – Helping people reconnect through social networks and programs.
  • Poor Educational Outcome – English For Life classes and Easy English Church plus delivering Anglicare Life Skills courses
  • Physical Disability – Helping people through Lawn Care who cannot physically look after their lawns.
Tangible Love

The Port Kembla / Warrawong parish comprises 28,000 people across seven suburbs: Port Kembla, Warrawong, Cringlia, Lake Heights, Berkeley, Primbee, and Windang. Four of these suburbs are among the twenty-five most disadvantaged in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.  Residents of the Port Kembla and Warrawong parish experience high levels of unemployment, mental health issues and loneliness. As such, it is also characterised by high levels of social dysfunction within families and across the community.

“We long to be a church community that is known for both its faith and love – a love that is tangible and adorns the gospel.”
