In the slum areas of Dagoretti Corner in Nairobi, Anglican Aid supports Elyon High School by providing funds to supplement the salaries of teachers. This helps the school stay open without passing on additional costs to students, most of whom pay low fees. Our funding also enables the school to provide a daily meal for students, ensuring kids don’t go home hungry.
Alongside the high school, Elyon Christian Mission supports Ulu Technical School, a rural town two hours from Nairobi. Here they teach trade skills like motor mechanics, carpentry, and tailoring, as well as Bible classes, to youth who have been unable to complete high school.
Elyon Christian Mission is also linked with Dagoretti Corner Baptist Church, who minister more widely to people living in the slum area.
Please pray for Elyon High School and Elyon Christian Mission as they educate vulnerable children and youth and share Jesus’ grace with them.
If you’d like to support the general work of Elyon Christian Mission (including the feeding program, school operations, and the vocational training program), please use the blue “Make a Donation” button below.
In 2025, the land that Elyon High School rents in the slum will no longer be available. The team is planning to relocate the whole school to Ulu town, outside of Nairobi, which will also improve their student capacity and facilities.
To donate specifically to the Elyon High School Relocation Budget please click here. You will be directed to a donation webpage prefilled with the School Relocation information.
In the case that a fundraising appeal has received sufficient donations, any surplus funds will be used for a similar activity or an activity in the same country.
