Help Afghan refugees fleeing the Taliban

Anglican Aid’s fundraising campaign Waterworks for a Thirsty World has previously raised funds for a borehole in this area. Installing additional rainwater tanks will relieve the huge demands on the borehole – used by the entire village – by supplying enough water for households to use, and providing water for local re-vegetation to fight deforestation.

Bible studies take place during the morning tea break during tank construction, and have already been a great witness to Muslim neighbours who sometimes join in.

The tank construction project has begun small and focused on designing and constructing economical but strong tanks. Your generosity will mean the project can expand so that more construction workers can be trained, earn a self-reliant income, and be discipled in the gospel.
