TEU is a private, Christian university founded by the Episcopal Church of South Sudan. In addition to their campus in central Juba, they also have a campus outside the town of Rokon. The land there is highly fertile and farmable. With your support through Anglican Aid, TEU will grow fruit trees and seedlings for both university use and to sell – already they have planted groundnuts, cassava and sorghum.
Not only will this program generate regular income for the university and food for the community, but it will also improve local climate resilience and educate students, staff, and local farmers on sustainable farming practices.
With your support, the Rokon Agriculture Project will relieve pressures on food supply, provide the community with regular access to food, and empower its participants in self-sufficiency.
