It is increasingly clear that improved education has been the pathway out of poverty for millions of the World’s poor. Addressing child education deficiencies in Africa is critical and in Zambia - one of the poorest countries in the world that is home to 6 million children under the age of 18 - low literacy levels is a problem in need of an urgent solution.

Anglican Aid has partnered with Tokidz, a group of experienced African promoters - with considerable IT, business and African development experience to launch the Tokidz eLearning system that will reduce the education gap identified in Zambia and other sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) countries.  Using a cloud based learning system, Tokidz is an Adaptive Learning System designed to help children with mathematics, reading, writing etc.

Tokidz is purpose driven around the goal of deploying affordable, leap-frogging eLearning technology to provide World-class education for Africa’s poor and vulnerable children. Anglican Aid is assisting in providing the initial start-up funding for Tokidz which, unlike other charitable education interventions, will run on a social enterprise for-profit model aiming to generate self-sustaining revenues to meet business costs. Profits will be reinvested to scale the business to be a significant provider of eLearning solutions throughout SSA.
