The Women’s and Children’s Development project in Myanmar seeks both to care for orphans and empower women. Myanmar is one of the poorest countries in the world and women and children bear the brunt of poverty and inequality. Women, especially in rural areas, are often uneducated, even in basic health and parenting skills. Children are too often orphaned and disadvantaged.
Anglican Aid is helping support the people of Myanmar through financially supporting families who have taken in orphaned children and sponsoring women’s conferences run by the Mother’s Union. The women’s conferences provide training in the Bible, mental health issues, trauma and physical health issues, parenting skills, leadership development, alcohol and drug abuse and basic human rights. Please consider supporting this project as it supports and empowers marginalised women and children in Myanmar.
Donations to this project will be used for this project only.

- Please pray for the people of Myanmar as their country tries to recover from the devastating floods that have impacted so much of the country.
- Pray for two particular orphanages (called Zion Family and Galilee Family), that this project supports, as they seek to develop long term ways of becoming self sufficient through agricultural projects and developing new initiatives.
- Pray for the Christian women who attended conferences earlier this year that they will continue to share what they have learnt with their churches.
