Monique was struggling to meet her family’s basic needs. After receiving training, tools, and seeds through the Diocese of Gitega’s Food Security Project in Burundi, she learned to grow amaranth and pineapples to provide income and food for her family.
“I cannot thank God enough for how far I have come. We have gained our smiles back.”

What your generous gift makes possible
By contributing to the June 30 Match Fund, you will:
multiply the impact of every person who gives on June 30
inspire participation, especially from first‑time and hesitant supporters
build momentum and urgency, encouraging people to take action
help create a shared moment of generosity around a cause you care deeply about.
How the match fund works
Your contribution will be used exclusively to match gifts made by others, dollar for dollar, on June 30.
Your leading gift helps ensure that:
more people say yes to generosity
critical work continues with confidence and momentum
your values are reflected in real, tangible outcomes for those we serve.
This is about what becomes possible because you gave first.
Thank you for the role you play in leading people towards generosity. Your decision to support the June 30 Match Fund is an investment which sees God's grace multiply and overflow to a world in need.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to extend your impact. Your tax-deductible gift today will help families in the poorest places grow food so they can feed themselves into the future. You’ll show the love of Christ and help families hope.

Sydney-based Reverend Samuel Majok, leader of the South Sudanese congregation at St Mark's Oakhurst, is raising funds for many thousands of people impacted by recent severe flooding that devastated most of Jongei State, where Samuel's family is from.
Anglican Aid is partnering with him to provide emergency assistance to meet immediate needs, such as shelter, mosquito nets, plastic sheeting and food. Funds will be distributed by South Sudanese Christians through Bishop Gwynne College and the Anglican Diocese of Wernyol in Jonglei State.
We are praising God for Samuel's opportunity to speak with Andrew West, journalist and presenter of ABC RN's Religion and Ethics Report on AM radio. Click to hear the 5 min interview that raises awareness of this tragic event.
The flooding in early August coincided with the massive explosion in Beirut, Lebanon, which may explain why media coverage of the South Sudanese event has been scarce. While the South Sudanese are, sadly, familiar with flood conditions, the volume of water and extensive damage this time far exceeds any flood since 1958. Local airstrips have been washed away, making evacuation by air impossible. Instead, people are loading the young and the elderly, belongings and livestock, into small boats or onto rafts made of plastic sheeting and 'walking them' along the river to safety. Many have died.
