Based in the Kuyga community on the outskirts of Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), Intsika is addressing poverty by educating and mentoring children.

Most of the local community live in poverty – many do not have water or electricity in their homes and can’t afford essential school supplies. There is a high rate of disease, like HIV and Tuberculosis, as well as alcohol problems, unemployment, and family breakdown.

Intsika was established in 2016 to prepare young children for school and support them through their primary education. 

Your support helps Intsika run a homework club for primary school children, school readiness program for preschoolers, ministry training for young Christian leaders, and a Friday afternoon outreach club with around 100 children attending regularly.

Intsika gives practical help to families through home visits, food parcels, and clothing. It also encourages faith in parents and carers through a Bible study group.
