April prayer focus:
Anglican Aid partners in Lebanon who are caring for people displaced by war

During the past few weeks, many families from the conflict zone in south Lebanon and Beirut have fled north. Some have set up tents in the village where Anglican Aid’s long-term partners Reem and Emil Bourizk are located, in the north of the country.

Reem and Emil from Good Shepherd School are providing these displaced people with practical help including mattresses, clothing, and food. Reem and Emil said that as they care for people in this time of crisis, they are able to share God’s message of hope.

“This war, as ugly as it is, gives us an opportunity to reach out with the love and mercy of Christ to these people,” said Emil.

Reem added, “And may God give us grace in their eyes – give us the right words to intervene and to talk to them, the right words. We believe that the Prince of Peace will allow us as his soldiers to do this through our actions or words. So, we pray that God will use us as a pure channel to spread his love.”

Pray:

  • For peace and diplomacy to return to the Middle East and an end to hostilities between these nations.

  • For wisdom for governments in the Middle East, the US, and beyond.

  • For God to comfort those experiencing trauma and provide for people who have lost homes and livelihoods.

  • For protection, peace, and wisdom for Reem and Emil as they care for displaced people. Pray God will share his love through them.

  • In thanks that God’s people are sharing his message of hope in this time of crisis.

A prayer for Lebanon and the Middle East

Almighty God, our Lord and King, blessed are all who take refuge in you.

We pray for peace in the Middle East. We pray for governments and those in authority in the Middle East, the US, and other nations around the world. Please give them wisdom and the will to bring an end to the war. We ask this so suffering is eased, order restored, and your people in these places can live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Father of compassion and God of all comfort, we lift up those who are suffering. Comfort those who mourn loved ones and provide food, shelter, and resources for people to rebuild homes and livelihoods.

We thank you for the kindness being shown to displaced people by Reem and Emil Bourzik from Anglican Aid’s project the Good Shepherd School in north Lebanon. Protect them and give them wisdom as they care for strangers who need help. Please encourage their hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. May their light shine so many see their good deeds and glorify you, our Father in heaven.

We pray that in this time of trouble in the Middle East you would bring many people to trust in the Lord Jesus as their King forever. It is in his name we pray, and for his glory.

Amen

March prayer focus:
Pray for Anglican Aid partners who care for those vulnerable to extreme weather

Right now, Anglican Aid partners in Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, and Kenya are battling the effects of extreme weather events.

In Madagascar, Cyclone Gezani tore across the country on 10 February. At least 35 people have been confirmed dead and many more injured, according to BBC News.

Rev. Berthier Lainirina, Principal of St Patrick’s Theological College in Toliara, and Adam Friend, an Australian missionary, were in Toamasina where the cyclone hit hardest. They were teaching an Anglican Aid–funded Moore College Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC) course to over 20 students. Praise God that none of the students or teachers were harmed. However, Rev. Berthier’s parents’ home was one of many that were destroyed.

Some of our other partners in East Africa are also experiencing the effects of extreme weather events.

In Malawi, our brothers and sisters from the Diocese of Southern Malawi said that heavy rains in January have caused more than 50 deaths. Thousands of hectares of crops were destroyed, water systems were damaged and houses, schools, and churches collapsed. In Mozambique, our partner the Diocese of Zambezia has also reported destructive flooding.

At the other end of the scale, the Diocese of Marsabit in northern Kenya is experiencing a devastating drought after three consecutive failed rainy seasons since October 2024.

Download slide

Pray:

  • Give thanks that Rev. Berthier, Adam, and the students were unharmed when the cyclone hit Madagascar.
  • Ask God for quick help for the injured, comfort for those grieving, and provision for people who have lost homes.
  • Pray the Anglican Church in east Africa will be able to show God’s love to those who need help.
  • Pray for life-giving rain in Marsabit, northern Kenya.
  • Pray many turn in faith to God in these difficult situations.

A prayer for Anglican Aid partners helping those who are require emergency support

Mighty God, our Lord and King, blessed are all who take refuge in you.

God of compassion, we pray for people in east Africa who have been affected by cyclones, flooding, and drought. Please provide food, shelter, and medical care to those who have lost dwellings and resources for them to rebuild homes and livelihoods. Please give our partners wisdom to direct resources to people most in need. As they show your love, help them to share the hope they have in you. Would you bring many to know that you are God, their ever-present help in trouble.

Our loving Father, in your mercy, please send rain to east Africa at the right time and in the right amounts so communities can yield productive harvests. And help many people in these communities to direct their hearts towards you, giving thanks for your provision of every good thing.

We ask you to come, Lord Jesus and restore all things. We pray in your name and for your glory.

Amen.

February prayer focus:
Pray for the training of church leaders

It’s the start of the new semester for many of the 40 Bible colleges that Anglican Aid is partnering with. This year, with your help, Anglican Aid will be supporting the training of over 750 pastors undertaking a three-year program. Praise God that in the last five years, Anglican Aid has supported the training of at least 2,000 pastors for ordained ministry!

On top of this, there are some other excellent training initiatives taking place. The Anglican Church in Mozambique is growing but doesn’t have its own seminary. Around 90% of its pastors don’t have formal theological education.

To address this, the church is using the Portuguese version of the Moore College Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC). It was piloted last year in the Diocese of Zambezia with 68 church leaders studying Doctrine 1 and 2.

Program Coordinator Mark Bwanakaya said that the benefits for the students are clear.

“The materials propel them to read the Bible more and this is helping a lot in terms of Bible literacy,” he said. “Most important of all is to see the love of the things of the Lord in the students, which was not there when we started.”

This year, the course will be rolled out in Mozambique’s seven dioceses, aiming to teach over 300 Christian leaders per year for the next three years.

Download slide

Pray:

  • Praise God that over 2,000 pastors have been trained with support from Anglican Aid in the last five years and over 750 are in training this year.
  • Praise God that over 300 Christian leaders will undertake PTC this year in Mozambique.
  • Pray that students will grow in faith, knowledge, and godly character as the word of God transforms their hearts and minds.
  • Pray that the Lord prepares them for a lifetime of service in his kingdom as they prepare to shepherd God’s people in the fast-growing church of Mozambique.

A prayer for the training of church leaders

Our Father, we thank you for Jesus, the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for his sheep.

We pray for Anglican Aid’s partners who are training church leaders to shepherd your people around the world.

We pray for the students beginning a new semester, especially the new 240 leaders undertaking PTC training in Mozambique. As they are nourished with the truths of the faith and good teaching, we pray they will be prepared to shepherd your people well. May they be eager to serve those under their care as humble, blameless examples to the flock, as they follow the example of their Lord Jesus.

We praise you for the 2,000 pastors who have been trained with support from Anglican Aid in the last five years. Strengthen them for endurance for a lifetime of service of their flocks, so when the Chief Shepherd appears, they will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

January prayer focus:
Clean water for Malawi

One third of people in Malawi don’t have access to clean drinking water and thousands of children die each year from waterborne diseases. In recent years, Malawi has also been affected by episodes of devastating drought.

With gifts from Anglican Aid supporters, the Anglican Diocese of Southern Malawi has been helping people to access clean water. In partnership with the Malawi Water Project (MWP), 40 water filters have been installed in households in Douglas village so far. The project also trains recipients in safe water storage and hygiene practices. Sanitation education has encouraged the construction of new toilets, laundry lines, and dish-drying racks. The local church played an active role in selecting vulnerable households to participate and fostering community ownership of the project.

“This support has provided clean water to 202 individuals and has sparked a ripple effect of change throughout the community,” said Derlinie Singo, MWP Project Manager. This new project for Anglican Aid is continuing in 2026.

Anglican Aid is also helping to strengthen churches in the Anglican Diocese of Southern Malawi by supporting the training of church leaders at the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi (EBCOM).

Download slide

Pray:

  • Praise God that 40 households in Douglas village have received water filters.
  • Pray that many more families will have access to clean water through this project.
  • Pray that God will send enough rain for crops to flourish in Malawi.
  • Pray that project participants will put their faith in Jesus, so they have living water, a spring welling up to eternal life.
  • Pray that God’s spirit will transform EBCOM students as they study his word. Pray they grow in faith in Jesus, ministry skills, and character.

A prayer for clean water for Malawi

Our creator God, you send forth springs in the valleys. They flow between the mountains. The earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works.

Thank you for Anglican Aid’s partners who are giving people access to clean water. We thank you especially that the Anglican Church in Malawi is caring for people in need in Douglas village by providing water filters and education. We pray that the project will be expanded to improve the health of more people. Would you shower Malawi with enough rain for crops to flourish and produce food for the nation.

We ask that many other people benefit from Anglican Aid WASH projects —and as they do, that they will give thanks to you for every good thing you provide. And above all, would you give them faith in Jesus, so they have living water, a spring welling up to eternal life.

Would you prepare leaders for your church in Malawi so they can teach your word and build your church. Grow them in their faith, skills, and godly character.

We long for the day when there is no hunger, or thirst — when you will wipe away every tear, and we will praise you forever.

Come, Lord Jesus. Amen.

December prayer focus:
Hope and joy for a weary world

“The weary world rejoices.”

This line from the carol O Holy Night captures the experiences of many Anglican Aid partners this year. Often they have seen close up the worst effects of sin in our groaning world and felt the weariness that this brings. Yet they have persevered in joy, knowing their Lord Jesus who first came bringing salvation for his people, will return soon to restore our weary world, and God will dwell with his people.

In February, in Goma and Bukavu in eastern DR Congo, Anglican Aid’s partner Bible colleges watched and prayed as rebels violently overtook their cities.

In August and September, Anglican Aid’s partner 1toAnother, saw the Punjab region of Pakistan suffer the worst monsoon floods in four decades that killed over 1,000 people and destroyed homes and crops.

In October in Madagascar, the Diocese of Toliara in one of the poorest areas in the world, watched as the military took control of the country in the capital following weeks of protests and unrest regarding water shortages and power outages.

Yet amid these difficulties, our partners are holding on to the hope and joy found in Jesus – and holding this out to their communities.

In DR Congo, through war, extreme poverty and unrest, our Bible colleges continued training church leaders to model Christ’s loving service, equipping them to teach the Bible, strengthen the church, and see communities transformed.

In Madagascar, students continue their training in new buildings constructed with support from Anglican Aid, as they prepare to proclaim the gospel of Jesus.

In Pakistan, 1toAnother showed Jesus’ love by providing emergency supplies including food, tents, and mosquito nets, delivered to flooded villages in the name of Jesus.

These are just three of 34 countries in which Anglican Aid partners are bringing joy to a weary world, sharing Jesus’ love in word and deed.

Download slide

Pray:

  • Praise God that Jesus has come and will return to restore all things.
  • Pray for peace in places where violence has escalated this year where Anglican Aid partners work such as Sudan, South Sudan, DR Congo, and Nigeria.
  • Pray for Pakistan as it continues to recover from devastating floods.
  • Pray that God will strengthen his church to proclaim the gospel with courage and compassion as they long for Jesus’ return.

A prayer for Anglican Aid’s partners bringing hope and joy to a weary world:

Heavenly Father, in this season of Advent, we come before you as we see the groaning of creation under the curse of sin. Yet we rejoice because Jesus has come and will return to restore all things.

Almighty God, we lift up Anglican Aid’s partners in places of conflict and hardship. We pray for peace and stability in DR Congo, Sudan, South Sudan, Madagascar, and Nigeria. Provide leaders for these nations who are courageous and govern for the good of their people. Please bring stability so your people can live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Thank you for the faithful work of Anglican Aid partners who continue holding out their hope in Jesus during war, floods, and unrest. Strengthen them in every good deed and word. Provide all they need to make disciples and to love you and their neighbours.

We praise you for the promise that one day you will dwell with your people, and there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain. As we wait for that day, empower us, together with Anglican Aid’s partners, to stand firm, to love generously, and to speak the good news of Jesus with courage and compassion. Fill us with expectant joy and steadfast faith as we long for Jesus’ return. Come, Lord Jesus, come.

In his name we pray. Amen.

November prayer focus:
Madagascar

Please pray for order and stability for the African island nation of Madagascar. After the parliament voted to impeach President Andry Rajoelina in mid-October, the military announced it was taking control. The President had already fled the country a few days earlier, following weeks of youth-led protests and unrest regarding water shortages and power outages.

While the situation has settled for now, the protests highlight some of Madagascar’s problems. The country struggles with extreme poverty, political insecurity, and vulnerability to natural disasters including droughts and cyclones.

Anglican Aid’s partner, the Diocese of Toliara, told us that when the troubles arose, the situation was calmer in their location, south of the capital.

And now for them it is business as usual. The new academic year started at St Patrick’s Theological College in October with about 45 students who are preparing to be pastors for the many new churches that have been planted in recent years in Toliara. These students are all being supported by Anglican Aid.

Our Aid and Development team is also working on a new income-generating project, which will provide a village in Toliara with fishing boats and nets at fair rental rates. The project will be managed through the local church. It will boost the income of fishermen who are living in poverty and will also provide opportunities for discipleship.

Download slide

Pray:

  • for peace and stability in Madagascar.
  • for the provision of political leaders who will govern for the good of the people and address the nation’s problems.
  • that the new students at St Patrick’s will settle into college life and grow in their faith and love for Jesus as they study his word.
  • that the new fishing project will boost incomes for people living in poverty and provide opportunities for discipleship.
  • that God will strengthen his church in Madagascar and that the gospel will bring transformation and lasting hope to the nation.

A prayer for Madagascar:

All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

We thank you for the church in Madagascar and for all who already worship you in this nation. Strengthen your people there to proclaim the gospel and bring lasting hope to a place struggling with poverty and instability.

Please provide Madagascar with political leaders who will govern for the good of the people and address its problems. Help them to improve water and power supplies and build the nation’s resilience against drought and cyclones. Enable them to bring stability so your people can lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

As the new cohort of students begins at St Patrick’s Theological College, help them to settle into college life and grow in their faith and love for Jesus as they study his word. Thank you for the generosity of people who are supporting their studies through Anglican Aid.

We pray for Anglican Aid’s new fishing project which is being run by the Diocese of Toliara. We pray that many people living in poverty will benefit from access to fishing boats and nets at reasonable rates. Please grow the fishermen’s livelihoods and their faith in the Lord Jesus through this initiative.

We pray in Jesus’ name and for his glory.

Amen

October prayer focus:
Floods in Pakistan

The Punjab region of Pakistan has been hit by the worst monsoon flooding in nearly four decades. Around 2.7 million people have been evacuated, and more than 1 million hectares of farmland have been flooded. This is about the area of Greater Sydney. In Punjab, the disaster has already claimed 260 lives (including 98 children) and left 660 injured. Nationwide, more than 900 people have been killed by this year’s monsoon.

As floodwaters recede, displaced people in Punjab are beginning to return to their heavily damaged homes and places of work. Anglican Aid’s partner in Pakistan, 1toAnother, is providing emergency aid in the name of Jesus to people in desperate need.

With support from Anglican Aid, 1toAnother has provided emergency assistance to people in Punjab affected by the floods. The supplies include drinking water, food packs (rice, lentils, vegetables), soap, wood for cooking, tents, medication, mosquito nets, infant and children’s supplies, and hygiene packs for women.

After visiting Muzaffargarh in Punjab recently, 1toAnother’s Haroon Younis said: “The situation there is extremely severe—the entire village is under water. Most families have left and are temporarily staying on the roadside or on higher ground, while others remain stranded on small, raised mounds … In Punjab, thousands are stranded across multiple districts.”

Pray:

  • Pray for Pakistan with some areas experiencing their worst monsoon flooding in nearly four decades.

  • Pray for comfort for those who are grieving the loss of loved ones.

  • Pray that agencies providing aid will be able to access and provide help for suffering people in remote areas.

  • As floodwaters recede, pray for the protection of people in flood-affected areas from mosquito-borne and other diseases.

  • Pray for Anglican Aid’s partner 1toAnother as it provides emergency relief to people in flood-affected villages, with support from Anglican Aid. Pray for wisdom for 1toAnother staff to provide aid to those who need it most and for opportunities to share the hope they have in Jesus.

A prayer for Pakistan:

Mighty God, our Lord and King, blessed are all who take refuge in you.

We pray for the area of Punjab in Pakistan as it recovers from devastating monsoon floods.

As the whole creation groans with the effects of sin, we thank you for Anglican Aid’s partner 1toAnother as it cares for people in Pakistan impacted by the disaster. Please give 1toAnother staff wisdom to direct resources to those most in need. As they show your love, help them to share the hope they have in you.

God of compassion, please provide food, shelter, and medical care to those who have lost homes or farmland. As the floodwaters recede, protect people from illness and provide them with resources to rebuild homes and livelihoods. Would you comfort those who mourn and bring many who are suffering in Pakistan to know that you are God, their ever-present help in trouble, and that nothing in all creation can separate us from your love.

We ask you to come, Lord Jesus, and restore all things. We pray in your name and for your glory.

Amen.

September prayer focus:
Pray for Projek Bali, Indonesia

As many Australians escape the cold for tropical Bali, they might not know that there is another side to the holiday island, away from the sunny beaches and tourist zones. In rural Bali, many families struggle to provide for the basic needs of their children and to keep them in school.

Projek Bali is a project run by the Widhya Asih Foundation, an organisation of the Christian Protestant Church of Bali. In partnership with Anglican Aid, Projek Bali provides residential care across seven homes for over 300 children who aren’t able to live with their families or are in vulnerable situations. The children are cared for in a loving, Christian environment as they attend school. They are given nutritious food, medical care, and educational support. The homes seek to maintain strong connections between the children and their families where possible.

Recently with support from Anglican Aid donors, Projek Bali has been able to purchase a new water filter, furniture, and bedding.

A current staff member said she went to live in a children’s home because her family couldn’t support her.

“I feel very lucky that I grew up in Widhya Asih because if not, I would never be able to continue my study,” she said. “And in my family, I’m the only one who has graduated from university.”

Download slide

Pray:

  • Praise God for the recent completion of upgrade projects for three of Projek Bali’s children’s homes, including a new water filter, furniture, and bedding.
  • Praise God that children in the residential homes are gaining education, life skills, and Christian care.
  • Pray that God will continue to provide for the needs of these children’s homes – particularly for new flooring for one of the centres and funding for extracurricular classes.

A prayer for Projek Bali in Indonesia:

Our great God, you created every child; each one has been knit together by you, fearfully and wonderfully made.

We praise you that Projek Bali staff are showing your love to children in need. Please encourage their hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. Give them wisdom, resources, and skills to care for the children well.

Would you keep the children safe and help them to grow and flourish in the residential centres. May they see what great love you have lavished on us in Jesus and call on you, their Heavenly Father.

Thank you that three centres have been able to upgrade their equipment and furniture. Please provide everything still needed to provide safe and comfortable homes for the children.

We pray for the island of Bali, our near neighbour. Please strengthen your church there to show your great love to people in need. Help your church to proclaim the good news of Jesus and bring many to a saving faith in him.

In his glorious name we pray.

Amen.

August prayer focus:
Pray for Nigeria

It can be extremely dangerous to be a Christian in Nigeria. More believers are killed for their faith in Nigeria than anywhere else in the world. According to Open Doors, last year, 3100 Christians were killed by violent Islamist groups seeking to take over land and property.

This year, over several weeks in April, Christian communities in Plateau State were attacked by Fulani cattle herders who arrived in villages, killing people, seizing property and burning down houses. Over 100 people were killed and 2,000 displaced. In May and June there were further attacks in Benue and Taraba States that resulted in the deaths of over 320 people.

In partnership with the Diocese of Canberra/Goulburn, Anglican Aid is supporting the Diocese of Jos, as they care for people who fled their villages in Plateau State. They are providing roofing sheets and farming materials like fertiliser to help people rebuild their homes and livelihoods.

Download slide

Pray:

  • Pray that government and security forces will act decisively to bring peace to rural communities in Nigeria.

  • Pray for the protection, emergency support, and comfort of Christian rural communities facing persecution. Pray they keep trusting Jesus, seeking peace rather than retribution.

  • Pray that displaced people will be able to return to their communities and reestablish their homes and livelihoods. Pray for God’s comfort and healing for those who have lost loved ones.

  • Pray that the Lord raises up godly, well-equipped Christian leaders through the Christian Institute in Jos.

  • Pray that Bishop Ephraim Gongden will lead his diocese with grace, godly wisdom, and integrity.

  • Pray for the spread of the gospel in Nigeria, especially in rural and difficult to reach communities.

A prayer for persecuted Christians in Nigeria:

God of grace, you are King forever. You hear the desire of the afflicted and listen to their cry.

We remember our brothers and sisters in Nigeria who are suffering persecution. Please strengthen and protect them. Comfort those who are grieving and provide for those who have lost homes or livelihoods. Please direct their hearts into your abounding love and Christ’s perseverance. Would you help them know your peace that transcends all understanding, trusting in your sovereignty and turning their thoughts from retribution.

We pray for those in authority in Nigeria. Help them to govern with wisdom, integrity, and courage, so your people can live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

We pray for students at the Jos Institute. Please help them to know you better as they learn to teach your word and shepherd your flock. Strengthen them for endurance for a lifetime of service so when the Chief Shepherd appears they will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

We pray in his name and for his glory.

Amen.

July prayer focus:
Pray for Syria and the Middle East

Pastor Samir Yacco, our Anglican Aid partner from Damascus Church Aid in Syria, asks for prayer as his congregation feels the effects of conflict in the Middle East. He said that on the night of Sunday 22 June, a Greek Orthodox Church in his neighbourhood was attacked by a suicide bomber. He and his church members lost friends in the attack.

News outlets report that 22 people were killed and 63 injured in the attack. There have been several attempted attacks on churches in Syria since the Bashar al-Assad government was toppled by an Islamist-led rebel insurgency in December.

Last year as conflict erupted in Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon, Pastor Samir shared what it is like to serve in this context:

“We who are living in the Middle East are truly living on a volcano mouth or on a keg of powder, as dangerous events are going on daily.

The Christian church continues its mission of gospel declaration to exchange worldly peace with a heavenly one which might end all kinds of hostility. Along with this task, we continue helping the needy, the sick, the elderly, the disadvantaged, and the youth who are subject to bad habits in times of crisis and ordeal. [We do this] with any possible help available due to faithful contributions coming from organisations like yours to sustain us in a time of collapse.”

Download slide

Pray:

  • Pray for safety for God’s people in Syria and the Middle East as the conflict broadens.
  • Pray that Christians in Syria will be free to continue meeting publicly and following Jesus.
  • Give thanks that Damascus Church Aid has continued to faithfully care for neighbours in need and proclaim the gospel through years of trouble in Syria.
  • Pray for God to strengthen his church in Syria.
  • Pray that governments around the world will act wisely and justly to bring peace in the Middle East.

A prayer for Syria and the Middle East:

Our Mighty God and Everlasting Father,

We thank you that Anglican Aid’s partner, Damascus Church Aid, has continued to care for neighbours in need through years of war and economic sanctions in Syria, all the while sharing the hope they have in you.

We pray for your comfort and healing for those who were injured or who lost loved ones in the June attack on the church in Damascus. Please protect your people in Syria from further attacks and thwart attempts of those who seek to harm.

We pray for all those who have been hurt or are mourning due to the conflict in the Middle East. Please comfort them and restore them. Provide homes and livelihoods for those who have been displaced and rebuild communities that have been destroyed. Our Lord of all, give those in government around the world, wisdom and the will to act justly to end this war.

As people in the Middle East long for a new era of peace, we pray that many will hear the good news of Jesus and turn in faith to him, the Prince of Peace, so they can know peace beyond all understanding and enjoy new life with him forever.

We pray in his name and for his glory.

Amen.

June prayer focus:
Pray for Burundi with elections this month

Pray for the nation of Burundi with general elections being held this month. With a history of civil war, Burundi’s elections have been marked by violence and instability.

This tiny country in East Africa consistently ranks as one of the world’s five poorest with 55% of children under five years old chronically malnourished. Similarly, 50% of children under the age of 5 years suffer from regular water-borne disease.

Anglican Aid is in partnership with the Diocese of Gitega in Burundi to bring clean water and better food security to remote, rural communities, some of the poorest in the country.

As well as providing clean water, local Christians in Gitega are loving their neighbours by giving farmers agriculture training, seeds, and tools to increase their harvests. When Anglican Aid CEO Tim Swan visited in March, he was greatly encouraged to see how families’ lives are being changed as they now have enough to eat, better health, and income from selling produce at the local market. A wonderful outcome from these projects is that the local church is growing as project participants experience God’s love through his people.

Anglican Aid is also strengthening the church in Gitega to proclaim the gospel by supporting the Bible training of church leaders at Gitega Bible School and Bujumbura Christian University.
