Building relationships

Multan is in the south of Punjab state and is considered to have been continuously inhabited for about 5000 years. It is Pakistan’s 7th largest city with a population of 1.9 million.

1toAnother was established after the Pakistan floods of 2010, providing emergency relief and redevelopment – over 300 homes have been built, 1000s of food rations, 100s of bedding packs and Mobile medical camp and more has been achieved.  The group constructed a health care facility in the flood affected area of Baseera, Muzzafaragarh, less than an hour from Multan.

There are many hospitals in Multan but very few that help families who have little resources. Many of these poor, marginalised families have to take loans in order to pay hospital fees. Additionally, surrounding hospitals in the area have a reputation of charging high prices; government hospitals included.

The new Victoria Memorial Medical Centre will make an incredible difference to the people, giving them access to quality health care delivered by qualified, dedicated professionals who care for them physically, mentally and spiritually.

The Christian staff begin their work day in prayer and Bible reading. They hope the centre will be a witness to Christ’s love.
