In Burundi 50% of children under 5 suffer from regular diarrheal diseases due to a lack of clean drinking water. Christians in Gitega are working to improve and protect 22 natural springs, which will provide clean water to 2420 people, reducing children’s hospital visits and enabling them to grow, learn, and thrive
Lebanon
Lebanon hosts almost half a million school-aged Syrian refugees, and almost half are not in school. Good Shepherd School is providing free, quality Christian education to 360 Syrian refugee children, and showing them unconditional love in a society where they experience significant discrimination.
DR Congo
In DR Congo, nearly 7 million children aged 5-17 are out of school, and those who do attend are often taught by untrained teachers in crumbling and overcrowded classrooms. The church in Kindu is transforming children’s educational opportunities by rebuilding schools, improving classroom materials, and training teachers.
