However, with the provision of audio Bibles, FCBH and the Diocese of Toliara are training communities in the region to listen to the Bible and understand it. The project will train 150 church and lay leaders to use the audio Bible and run listening groups in their local communities. Each listening group will consist of up to 50 participants, both Christian and non-Christian, from roughly 8-15 households. For an hour each week, these groups will listen to the Bible together, reflect on the passage, and discuss its practical application for everyday life. As participants grow in their relationship with God, they will cultivate a culture of listening, and their family relationships will reflect the peace that Jesus brings to our relationship with God.

One group leader said, “For me, the greatest blessing has been seeing how the training has multiplied beyond myself. I was one of the people trained, but through the audio Bible I have been able to help many others hear God’s word in our village.”

Your generosity will help strengthen the church in the Diocese of Toliara as it seeks to share God’s word with its people and transform its communities to live like Christ.
