Since independence in 2011, South Sudan has experienced devastating tribal divisions and conflict over grazing land, with thousands displaced and living in refugee camps. Education and health care are limited and many people in the country are suffering. 

There are 4.2 million Anglicans in South Sudan and there is a great need for trained pastors to lead the churches.

Anglican Aid is partnering with Kajo-Keji Christian College as it equips church leaders to preach the message of Jesus and bring peace, reconciliation and forgiveness to a damaged nation. 

Kajo-Keji’s courses include Bachelors Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates in Theology as well as lay-leader training.

The daily morning devotions, Bible studies and the course units I learnt have built my confidence. I am able to stand in front of the congregation in my church, proclaiming the word of God without fear…It has prepared me well for my ministry.

As part of the course unit on Children and Youth Ministry, I attended a three day practical training workshop . . . I am confident to say that I am now fully prepared for children and teenagers ministries. I can now understand children, prepare lesson plans and teach a child to understand the importance of being born again and being a child of God.
