Although Balung is in a remote area of Nepal where Christians are a minority group, the church there is growing. The Christians have been meeting in a tiny, crumbling hut which was badly damaged in the 2023 monsoon floods.
With the help of Anglican Aid supporters, Grace Church Khadu hopes to build a Community Centre which can serve local people as a safe place to meet for community-building initiatives, social events, and where the church can run services and a Sunday school. The building can also be used as a shelter during natural disasters, such as earthquakes and monsoons.
Land for the building has already been purchased. Local Christians are also contributing what they are able for the completion of the building, and will help with the labouring and construction.
Can you partner with Grace Church Khadu to help them build a Community Centre?
