The Need

The lives of Bali’s over 4.4 million local inhabitants are often marked by poverty and family strife. Rural Balinese live in isolation and poverty without water, sanitation, adequate nutrition, health, education facilities, and hope.

Children comprise the majority of Bali’s poor. They often have responsibilities to help with their family’s survival and many are left on their own to care for themselves.

The Response so Far

Various organisations and people across Sydney are already funding improvements across the centres, such as:

• Improvement of Kitchen Facilities – $2,000
• Refrigerator for daily food preparation – $1,200
• Specialised Medical equipment – $750
• Hall flooring – $6,000

Supporters are also helping establish income generating projects, such as:

• Two cattle for breeding – $1,250
• Fish Farm Development – $2,000
