India: Therapy brings growth and hope

When the parents of two-year-old Ali brought him to the Anugrah Early Intervention Centre in Herbertpur, they were discouraged and without hope. Ali was born with cerebral palsy and, as they watched him grow unable to sit independently or interact with others, they felt that nothing was going to change.

However, through the support of people like you, Ali underwent physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and developmental stimulation at Anugrah. Encouraged by his progress, his parents decided to move their family closer to Herbertpur so they could attend more regularly. Now, Ali’s mother feels equipped with the knowledge and confidence to help Ali with his rehabilitation. She has learnt how to use therapeutic activities at home and implement them into their daily routine.

Now, Ali can smile, make eye contact, and sit with support. While his therapy is ongoing, his parents are hopeful that Ali will learn to live independently and reach his full potential.
