The Pressing Problem

Many poorer dioceses in the Global Anglican Communion urgently rely on outside sources for secure funding to preach Christ faithfully to the nations and care for those in need.

There is a growing need for trained pastors, as well as access to basic needs such as clean water, secure food sources, education, income generation, and health support Anglican Aid is training church leaders to help keep the Bible at the heart of our Global Anglican Communion, while strengthening the poorest dioceses to bring transformation to their communities.

A Holistic Answer 

We are the largest evangelical Anglican aid agency in the Anglican Communion.

Uniquely, as well as supporting emergency aid and long-term development projects, Anglican Aid strengthens the church through theological education. Currently we support 750 full time students studying at 38 colleges across 15 nations.

We prioritize long-term impact. By training orthodox leaders and committing to development projects for many years, we strengthen local dioceses and facilitate sustainable, long-term growth. Our long-term partnerships with churches also provide ready channels for emergency relief when needed, delivered with the hope of the gospel.

But there is so much more we can do together.

We want to help share resources so all Anglican dioceses can go forward in our collective mission to preach Christ faithfully to the nations and care for those in need.

 

The Global Anglican Communion Fund 

That’s why at the GAFCON Abuja, Nigeria conference in March 2026 Anglican Aid launched the Global Anglican Communion Fund.  

This initiative is set up to receive donations from anywhere in the world, and will be used to support theological education, training of pastors and church leaders, as well as to fund aid and development projects in the neediest dioceses of our Global Anglican Communion.
