Rosa fled violence in the north.

Sixty-year-old grandmother of five, Rosa Maneno, fled Islamic State terrorists and is now receiving help from the Anglican Church in Mozambique. She shares her story:

When the terrorists came, me and my family were forced to flee our homes and as a Christian family, we were targeted. Our homes and church were burnt down and we were forced to come here to Namitenguline with the help of the government.

In the past weeks, we were living without enough food to feed ourselves, but fortunately God answered our prayers, because through our prayers, we are now seeing his helping hand. Through the church, we are receiving food that will take us through the coming months.

As you can see, I am disabled. I cannot do anything without help from other people. The comfort and encouragement that I have been receiving from the church – I want to thank the church for such a gesture of generosity and may God multiply in abundance from where they have taken.

Pray:

  • Pray for peace in northern Mozambique.
