Pakistan: 1toAnother grows its reach to communities

1toAnother, in partnership with Anglican Aid, strives to mirror the life of Jesus by providing healthcare to poor communities and individuals. This is done through the incredible work of the Victoria Memorial Medical Centre (VMMC) in Multan, Pakistan.

For many years, M. Ashfaq Wazir and his wife suffered great pain at the repeated loss of their unborn children. Through a friend, they heard about VMMC and desperately, although still hesitantly, they decided to give it one more try. The hospital immediately felt different, with skilled doctors who treated them with warmth and respect. Their hope was renewed as they were listened to and supported through every step of the treatment. With each appointment, each kind word and each careful treatment, their faith of one day holding a child of their own, was strengthened.

With the support of Anglican Aid and 1toAnother, the Victoria Memorial Medical Centre (VMMC) provides affordable and quality care to each person and family that walks through their doors. Inspired by Jesus’ sacrificial love, the centre was able to see 129 patients in the eye clinic and 78 patients in the maternal clinic from January-March 2025 alone. 1toAnother is working to increase these numbers with the Mobile Health Clinic Project, which aims to support more rural areas with lower income families ultimately seeking spiritual wholeness in those who are more isolated.

Stories of renewed hope, such as that of M. Ashfaq and his wife, show the true impact that 1toAnother makes.
