DR Congo: Making disciples in a war zone

Despite rebels taking over the city of Goma in February last year, God’s people there continue to gather and make disciples. Last year the Anglican Church in Congo translated an Anglican catechism into two local languages with support from Anglican Aid.
Bishop Martin Gordon from the Diocese of Goma said that people’s lives are being transformed as they learn more about God through studying the catechism.
“Some are understanding the Trinity for the first time. Many have experienced God’s love for them as their Heavenly Father. Dozens have decided to follow Jesus,” said Bishop Gordon.
Charlotte was in a group studying the catechism and said: “I lost my father when I was young. I never really understood God as like a father. But then I heard the teaching on God as father and as creator. And my eyes were opened, and my life has changed. I will now never be the same again.”
Thank you for praying and giving to see the gospel transform lives.
