Tanzania: Building a school for girls
  • by Ashleigh Hooker
  • July 29, 2022

Building has started on a new secondary school for young women in Muleba, Tanzania. It is estimated that 70% of Tanzanian children between the ages of 14 and 17 are not enrolled in secondary school. The figure is higher for girls. Anglican Aid is partnering with the Diocese of Lweru to construct and operate the secondary college that will house, educate and give employment skills to young women.

They will also receive Bible training to disciple them and equip them to serve in local churches.
