Tarime Preschool opened its doors, welcoming its first beautiful, young students on 8 January.

“Glory to God! Joy to the Diocese, parents and children – thanks to the solid prayerful and financial support from Anglican Aid,” said Bishop Mwita Akiri.  

The Bishop said that the journey that began with a Zoom meeting with Anglican Aid staff in May 2022 was not without challenges. After building was completed, there were still a number of hurdles for the school to meet requirements for government registration in Tanzania. But this was finalised in December 2023 and the school is now teaching its first cohort of three and four-year olds. 

“A big thank you to you ALL and the people of God in Australia for supporting kingdom work in Tarime and Africa. AMEN!” said Bishop Mwita. 

Tarime Preschool welcomed its first students on 8 January.
