In the capital of Zambia, over 40% of primary aged children are expected to drop out of school before Grade 7. Many live in child-headed homes, meaning both parents have passed away and they are responsible for their household income. Regularly they do not eat and are unable to afford skills training to break the cycle of poverty. Here, through the committed, sincere love of Christian people, Hope & Faith School is seeing the lives of impoverished families transform. Recently, our partner shared:

The Holy Spirit led us to note the big number of very poor pupils who have neither a school bag nor a pair of good school shoes. We pointed this out to a cell group that visits the school once a month. Normally they do not come empty handed. Last week they brought some food and 12 second hand school bags for which we were very grateful. We are taking this advantage to teach our pupils the importance of LOVE the Jesus way. 

We all need to act in love at all times. It is a life skill for everyone who hopes for a blessed peaceful life in our families, in our community and in our government. 

Because of Jesus, impoverished kids in Zambia can experience love “the Jesus way”. Your prayers and generosity are showing precious children Christ’s sincere love this Christmas.

1 John 5:14 reminds us: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

• Please pray with us to be able to raise thirty thousand kwacha (K30,000 or AUD$2,500) to buy shoes and bags for six hundred pupils.
