The Mara Diocese in Tanzania is just one place where Anglican Aid is helping to strengthen the church around the world by supporting the training of women for Christian leadership.
Supported through Anglican Aid, Rev Neema Andrea Mahiti, mother of two young girls and wife to a schoolteacher, completed a Bachelor of Divinity at St Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya in April this year. This qualification followed her earlier Certificate in Theology from Bunda Bible College, Tanzania and a Diploma in Theology.
Neema has now returned to Bunda Bible College. As Vice Principal and a lecturer in pastoral theology and church history, she is helping to raise up future church leaders whose foundations are built on solid ground through quality Bible and ministry training. Bishop George Okoth of Mara Diocese, explained that Neema’s training was “part of our college’s plan to strengthen the college’s academic sector; to have good, qualified tutors. She has been helping our college a lot, especially with women students.”
Pray:
- Please pray that Bible colleges in Africa will continue to be strengthened through faithful leadership.
