KENYA: Equipping Women for Holistic Ministry

“I want to study and equip my family, so that we can serve others and courageously testify the gospel of the Lord Jesus to the world,” Beatrice said, explaining what led her to study a Diploma of Christian Mission at Carlile College in Kenya, supported by Anglican Aid.

Her husband, also studying at the college, is a pastor from the Diocese of Zambezia, Mozambique where Anglican Aid is providing emergency relief for Christians fleeing persecution. Beatrice wants to join this ministry when she completes her course next year. She told us, “I am looking forward to learning how to mobilise the youth and women to walk out of poverty and live a Christ-centred life.” Beatrice plans to replicate a program she’s leading at Carlile, growing onions, maize, and vegetables to generate an income for the church and college communities.

“The gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to save and transform lives,” said Beatrice. “This [course] will help me reach out to the community I will be serving…to bring about change holistically.”

“Wholeheartedly I give thanks to God for Anglican Aid and all the good work it is doing in the advancement of the Kingdom of God.” – Beatrice
