KENYA: Equipping gospel workers

Hundreds of people are being trained for ministry in northern Kenya. Supported by Anglican Aid, the Diocese of Marsabit has been running workshops in family, children’s, and youth ministry, and preaching for pastors and church leaders.
Last year the diocese had 200 ministry apprentices participating in a Ministry Training Strategy. Marsabit Youth Ministry Director Jomo Nderitu said the training is having an impact. He is seeing improved quality of preaching, increasing numbers of volunteers for various ministries, and trainees growing in conviction and passion to respond to the Great Commission. “The Lord is using the project in huge ways across the Diocese,” he said.
