Mozambique: How the Anglican Church planted 270 churches

In Mozambique, 270 Anglican churches have been planted in the last four years. Archbishop Vicente Msosa, who spoke at Anglican Aid’s Field Notes from Mozambique in September, shared how they do it.

The evangelism team arrives in a village on Friday. From Friday afternoon to Sunday, they preach to those in the area and invite them to give their lives to Jesus. On Sunday, the evangelism team leaves one person behind to mentor three Christian villagers they have identified to lead the church.

Archbishop Vicente is so thankful for people like you. Your gifts and prayers have enabled church leaders to be trained in the Moore College PTC course, providing them with a sound biblical basis on which to lead God’s people.

He shared: “You might never have an image of what [your] help does to us, but if we’re saying that the church is growing in Mozambique, what we have been able to do is because you have stood with us, and our gratitude is beyond words.”
