SOUTH AFRICA: Celebrating 10 years!

We praise God for 10 years of Umthombo Wempilo providing safe work alternatives and making Jesus known to sex workers and other vulnerable women in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Anglican Aid Project Officer Molly Baker visited for the celebration and said it was a joy to be part of the colourful festivities with singing and dancing and to see the tearful reunions. “Hillbrow is a hard place to live and do ministry, and the Umthombo team have had their fair share of hardship over the last 10 years. This made the celebration all the more joyful!” said Molly. “Women spoke of how God’s love had been shown and poured out to the vulnerable women who are involved in sex work.
