Tanzania: Helping Edvina Live Beyond Disability

In Kagera, staff at the Karagwe Disability Program met 15-year-old Edvina when an infected wound on her leg caused the need for amputation.

With your support through Anglican Aid, Karagwe provided Edvina with crutches, physiotherapy, and psychological support. After Edvina recovered from her surgery, she enrolled in a one year course in tailoring. She has now successfully graduated, received her own sewing machine, and can make clothes to help support her family.

“My heart is filled with joy for the support and guidance you showed to my daughter,” her mother said of the program. “May God bless you.”
