UGANDA: A new life for Fuma

Fuma now works in a restaurant.
Fuma didn’t know anything about cooking when he enrolled in a catering class run by Anglican Aid’s partner, the Mbuyu Foundation Life Project. At 26 years old, Fuma was without a job and income and felt desperate.
Everything changed when Fuma completed the training and was able to get a job in a restaurant. He was also able to boost his income by making and selling local snacks.
A new job brings hope
“My hope was restored,” he said. “I can now take care of myself, my siblings, and also help my parents . . . If this change had not occurred, I would have gone back to the village or joined the thug groups in the slums, which was a quick way of getting money because I was really living a miserable life.”
Fuma said that many of his friends are stealing, and some have lost their lives. He said, “I thank God for the Mbuyu Foundation for my change in life!”.
Pray:
- Praise God that Mbuyu is bringing the love of Jesus to people living in Katanga Slum.
