KENYA: Water is life!

Rev John Wato with his church’s new tank

Water is scarce in Marsabit, in the arid north of Kenya. In Walda’s Anglican parish, the church’s pastor and evangelist and their families were living on the church compound, relying on water they bought and carried from a community borehole.

Through Anglican Aid’s Generate project, the church has now been given a 10,000 litre tank and guttering to harvest rainwater from the church’s roof. The church staff now have clean water for drinking, cleaning, and irrigating a vegetable garden.

“We thank God for the provision of Anglican Aid and their support. There are so many activities that need to be done in the area, especially in mission!” said Walda pastor Rev John Wato. “Water is essential for us. Water is life!”

Pray:

  • Praise God for water for churches in Marsabit.
