Latifa was living in a refugee camp in Burundi. As a widow and mother of five from DR Congo, she was often close to despair, wondering how her family would survive. 

But kindness from God’s people changed this. 

Because of gifts from people like you, food and blankets were given to her by the Diocese of Gitega.  

This is what she says as she expresses great gratitude to God and to those who gave to help her: 

“Through your actions, I have remembered that God still cares and true biblical neighbours exist,” said Latifa. 

“You have given me another reason to believe again and to hope for a better future for myself, what remains of my family, and my country. Thank you for your prayers and donations.” 

What amazing words of hope.
