Kenya: Hope during drought

During a lengthy drought in the village of Turbi in Kenya, Kurfa, a widow and mother, had little resources to feed her children. She had a shrinking food supply and no stable source of income. Her husband’s absence only made Kurfa’s situation more difficult.

But, with help from supporters like you, the Diocese of Marsabit was able to provide essential food supplies to 470 households across 5 villages. Kurfa’s family was one of these recipients. She received 5kg of beans, 10kg of maize flour, 1kg of salt, and 1 litre of cooking oil.

Now, Kurfa and her children have a fresh sense of hope. These food supplies will provide regular meals for the short-term future and relief during a desperate time.

Kurfa is deeply grateful for the assistance that supporters like you have provided.
