Kenya: How a water tank helped a grieving pastor

When Rev Elibit, a pastor in the Diocese of Marsabit, Kenya, lost his wife to a bandit attack, he was left to build their family house alone.
Without a local water source, the project was slow and costly. Rev Elibit needed to either purchase water or travel to get it. His and his wife’s dream of planting a kitchen garden and trees around their house seemed impossible.
However, with support from people like you, through the Generate! program, Rev Elibit received both roof guttering and a 10,000L water tank for capturing rainwater.
Now, he doesn’t need to purchase as much water, and he and his daughters can enjoy planting a variety of fruit trees, like mangoes.
These resources provided both physical and emotional assistance during a difficult time.
“Thank you very much for this great assistance,” he shared. “May God bless.”
Help bring clean water within reach and support church leaders like Rev Elibit and their families with your tax-deductible gift of $1,346 for a water tank. You’ll do so much more than just provide clean water – your generosity will help nurture healthy children, feed the hungry, and restore hope for the future.
Gifts to the Global Anglican Communion Fund support theological education – the training of pastors and church leaders – and aid and development projects in the neediest dioceses of our Global Anglican Communion. If you don’t live in Australia, you can give to the Global Anglican Communion Fund at any time through Anglican Aid and TrustBridge. This giving option enables you to still make a tax‑deductible donation, helping resource the Global Anglican Communion for Bible-centered ministry in the world’s poorest nations.
