Kenya: More than a water tank

Church leader Galgalo, a key ministry worker in the Moyale parish of the Diocese of Marsabit, Kenya, used to travel on his motorbike to look for water for his family. This used up fuel and money, and the little water he obtained was unsafe to drink.
During the last drought, members of his community even protested about their lack of water, especially water that was clean.
But, because of your support from people like you, through the Diocese of Marsabit’s Generate! program, Galgalo received guttering, roofing, a 10,000L water tank, and secure fencing.
Now, he and his family can effectively store water for the dry season and grow a kitchen garden protected from wild animals.
The time Galgalo would have spent searching for water can now be used for ministry, and the money he would have used for fuel to transport water can be used for other household needs.
Praise God, immediately after Galgalo received his tank, the area experienced heavy rainfall. The 10,000L tank was filled within a day.
Him, his family, and the church parish council give thanks to God for what he has done and are grateful for the support shown through Anglican Aid.
You can help bring clean water and support to church leaders like Galgalo and their communities. Your tax-deductible gift of $1,346 can help supply a 10,000L water tank to a church in Marsabit for water harvesting and irrigation. Your generosity will nurture healthy children, feed the hungry, and restore hope for the future.
Gifts to the Global Anglican Communion Fund support theological education – the training of pastors and church leaders – and aid and development projects in the neediest dioceses of our Global Anglican Communion. If you don’t live in Australia, you can give to the Global Anglican Communion Fund at any time through Anglican Aid and TrustBridge. This giving option enables you to still make a tax‑deductible donation, helping resource the Global Anglican Communion for Bible-centred ministry in the world’s poorest nations.
